{DIY} Ombre Circle Pennants

DIY Pinkilicious Circle Ombre Pennants

A few weeks back we celebrated Katelyn turning 6 with a Pinkilicious Painting Party. Our sweet girl wanted to celebrate with all things pink and that’s exactly what we did. Since it’s taken me so long to get all my photos edited, we shall declare this Katelyn’s Birthday week on the blog and I’ll be sharing with you a couple different DIY’s as well as a full recap of her Pinkilicous party at Timree Paint Studio.

I really wanted to make some pennants we could hang from the ceiling of the small room off of the Paint Studio where we were setting up food and the cake. These pennants are so easy to make, especially with the help of my trusty friend, the Cricut.

Here’s what you need:

  • 4 sheets of each shade of pink paper
  • 4 sheets of glitter paper
  • Cricut font Cartridges (needed unless you have the new Cricut Explore)

Let’s get started:

  1. Set your Cricut to make 2.5 inch circles. I cut all 4 sheets of my light, medium and dark pink and 3 sheets of the glitter paper.
  2. Use the remaining glitter paper to cut 4, 6 inch “6’s” or the number you need to cut for your little ones birthday.
  3. I made 6 banners, using 8 circles of each color paper.
  4. Using your sewing machine, use regular quilting or sewing thread to sew your circles together, leaving several inches of thread at the beginning and the end of your circle pennant banner.
  5. On 4 of the banners I added in a “6” to the middle of 3 of them.

Voila!! Now you’ve got super cute, easy to make decorations that won’t cost you a fortune for your little ones party!
