DAY 3: MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK

July 27, 2018 · by Alissa Circle · in Family, Life

Day three kicked off with a tour of the Glen Canyon Dam. After stopping through the visitor’s center yesterday, learning about the dam and becoming Junior Rangers, we returned back today to take a tour of the Dam. If you’re…

DAY 2: ZION NATIONAL PARK + LOWER ANTELOPE CANYON

DAY 2: ZION NATIONAL PARK + LOWER ANTELOPE CANYON

July 26, 2018 · by Alissa Circle · in Family, Life

I feel it’s important that I preface this post with the fact that I’m not a hiker by nature. The sun and I don’t get along, being that I’m naturally very fair skinned and burn easily. I say this to…

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

July 25, 2018 · by Alissa Circle · in Family, Life

We’re kicking off our summer road trip of 2018 as we continue on our family goal to hit all 50 states before our kids no longer think we’re cool. Now, as much as I hope that never happens, I can’t…

LAS ROSADAS

July 23, 2018 · by Alissa Circle · in Family, Life

Mexico…. Oh Mexico… Where do I even begin? To say that we loved our time in Mexico would be an understatement. The more we travel with our children, the more I love seeing the world through their eyes. Watching them…

Everything you didn't see on Instagram last week

Everything you didn’t see on Instagram last week

February 5, 2018 · by Alissa Circle · in Family, Life

It’s crazy to think that a whole week went by while I Fasted Instagram and hell didn’t freeze over and the world didn’t end. Being offline on a social media channel that I diligently check so often during the day…

Historic Downtown Franklin, TN, Cottage

January 24, 2018 · by Alissa Circle · in Family, Life

I mentioned in this post that we had quietly purchased a home in historic downtown Franklin, TN, in September of 2016 that we’ve affectionally deemed the Downtown Franklin Cottage. We’ve been using the cottage as a short term rental and…

Happy Holidays with Minted Photo Op

November 22, 2017 · by Alissa Circle · in Family, lifestyle

My name is Alissa Circle, and I’m an addict. No, I’m not blogging from rehab. My addictions aren’t harmful. But, they are addictions. As Merriam Webster says, being an addict is “to devote or surrender (oneself) to something habitually or obsessively.” And that’s me when it comes to creating—anything really. Style, food, DIY, healthy living, building community. There’s a limit to my addictions, but I haven’t found it yet.

Instagram post 2196259148257979086_354831 9 LBS! Nine! I never thought I’d be able to stick to a low carb Keto meal plan because, well I just love carbs and sugar so much, but seeing the results is all the motivation I need.
Instagram post 2194805870601045072_354831 That feeling when you want to pat yourself on the back for finally getting the house decorated for Christmas and baked cookies for the neighbors! Now I just need someone to cook dinner while I put my feet up 🤣 📷: @nicoledawnphoto
Instagram post 2194089646669860998_354831 I bought this dress a year ago and it was too small, but I really loved it. Down almost 10lbs, I decided it was time to give this dress a whirl and it was the perfect dress to kick off holiday party season. @oclydia + @ocjudymom’s Christmas Gala did not disappoint with craft cocktails, dancing and a flash mob 🥳 Thank you again @likepretzel for making my make up look glam last night!
Instagram post 2191904273918621812_354831 I used to feel like there were so many people in the world that needed help, but my impact would be so small, I ended up doing nothing. I let the feeling of being overwhelmed rule how I took action. Then a few years ago I realized how dumb that mindset was! If we all do something, our somethings can turn into bigger, GREATER things. Jesus calls us to serve everyone, from the greatest among us, to those who have nothing. This week my Bible study served at @secondharvestfoodbankoc. We sorted and bagged over 4,500lbs of potatoes!! That might not seem like much to you, but those bags then go to food pantry’s and thru the food Second Harvest sends out they feed over 250,000 homeless people every month. And we played a part in that!I can’t wait to bring my family back to serve again; it brought me so much JOY. I’d love to challenge you to serve others with Joy, not just in this advent season, but in 2020. Hope you’re all having an amazing week, friends! #serveothers
Instagram post 2191157578352216014_354831 One of my favorite times of the year is when I get to start penciling in business for 2020 in my planner. As much as I’ve tried over the years to be an online calendar girl, I thrive off of a paper planner. This year I’m using my @purposefulplanner, but I’d love to hear about you. Paper or electronic planner? Which paper planner do you use?
Instagram post 2189650607329251426_354831 Soaking in the last few moments of Thanksgiving break. Thankful for the extra few days we had, filled with quality family time because we pulled the kids out of school early. #thankfulgratefulblessed

Instagram post 2187458533104507014_354831 I just wanted to take a minute to say how grateful and humbled I am for my online community. Thank you for investing in our family and following along on all our travels. It truly is an honor to get to know you, chat with you and share life together.
