My name is Alissa Circle, and I’m an addict. No, I’m not blogging from rehab. My addictions aren’t harmful. But, they are addictions. As Merriam Webster says, being an addict is “to devote or surrender (oneself) to something habitually or obsessively.” And that’s me when it comes to creating—anything really. Style, food, DIY, healthy living, building community. There’s a limit to my addictions, but I haven’t found it yet.

Instagram post 2194805870601045072_354831 That feeling when you want to pat yourself on the back for finally getting the house decorated for Christmas and baked cookies for the neighbors! Now I just need someone to cook dinner while I put my feet up 🤣 📷: @nicoledawnphoto
Instagram post 2194089646669860998_354831 I bought this dress a year ago and it was too small, but I really loved it. Down almost 10lbs, I decided it was time to give this dress a whirl and it was the perfect dress to kick off holiday party season. @oclydia + @ocjudymom’s Christmas Gala did not disappoint with craft cocktails, dancing and a flash mob 🥳 Thank you again @likepretzel for making my make up look glam last night!
Instagram post 2191904273918621812_354831 I used to feel like there were so many people in the world that needed help, but my impact would be so small, I ended up doing nothing. I let the feeling of being overwhelmed rule how I took action. Then a few years ago I realized how dumb that mindset was! If we all do something, our somethings can turn into bigger, GREATER things. Jesus calls us to serve everyone, from the greatest among us, to those who have nothing. This week my Bible study served at @secondharvestfoodbankoc. We sorted and bagged over 4,500lbs of potatoes!! That might not seem like much to you, but those bags then go to food pantry’s and thru the food Second Harvest sends out they feed over 250,000 homeless people every month. And we played a part in that!I can’t wait to bring my family back to serve again; it brought me so much JOY. I’d love to challenge you to serve others with Joy, not just in this advent season, but in 2020. Hope you’re all having an amazing week, friends! #serveothers
Instagram post 2191157578352216014_354831 One of my favorite times of the year is when I get to start penciling in business for 2020 in my planner. As much as I’ve tried over the years to be an online calendar girl, I thrive off of a paper planner. This year I’m using my @purposefulplanner, but I’d love to hear about you. Paper or electronic planner? Which paper planner do you use?
