Holiday Bowl: Gingerbread Chex Mix

I love the holiday season. There’s something about having my house decorated for Christmas that makes me want to bake all day long just so I can have all kinds of amazing smells floating throughout my house. I’ve found that one of the best places to find some of those amazing recipes is in magazines.
Since the holiday season, in our home, means we are on the go a little more than normal, I thought it would be fun to find something quick and easy to make. So, the kids and I headed to Walmart in search of some new magazines with yummy recipes. After taking our time browsing the store, watching Cars 2 on more flat screens than any child should watch at one time, and picking up a few gifts, we headed to the magazine section. Walmart has a great selection of magazines, many of them filled with delicious recipes.
We ended up finding a great recipe in Family Circle. A Holiday Bowl of Gingerbread Chex Mix. How delicious does that sound?! I loved the idea of this recipe because it’s something I could whip up at home and keep in little baggies for when the kids and I are out running errands.
The recipe turned out to be so delicious I thought I would share it with you.
You’ll Need:
3 Cups – Rice Chex
3 Cups – Cinnamon Rice Chex
1 1/2 Cups – Cinnamon Teddy Grahams
2 Tsps – Vanilla
6 Tbspns Butter
1/4 Cup – White chocolate candy melts
1 Tspn – Cinnamon
1/4 tspn Cloves
1/4 tspn Nutmeg
{One}  Mix the Cinnamon Chex Mix, Rice Chex and Cinnamon Graham Crackers together in a large bowl.

{Two}   In a smaller bowl melt the butter, then mix in the vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.
{Three}   Pour your buttery mixture over your chex mix and graham cracker mix. Mix well!

{Four}  Lay your check mix mixture onto paper towels and spread out to dry.
{Five}  Heat your white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Make sure to mix every 30 seconds until it has melted.

{Six}  Pour your white chocolate over your mix. Once it has set, it’s ready to put in a bowl and enjoy. I couldn’t resist, I added some white chocolate chips into the mix to sweeten it up a little more.

Now go and enjoy your Gingerbread Chex Mix!
