a BIG announcement

and no, I’m not pregnant… and no I haven’t joined a 12-step program although I probably should because I’m addicted to launching new companies and blog as of late.

Yesterday you might have seen me hint around having some big news to share. I’m so sorry I’m just now sharing it with everyone here on the blog, it wasn’t intentional, we just really wanted to share it with the Pollinate community first. Two years ago, my husband and I saw a need in the blogger industry and we decided to take a pro-active approach to meeting that need for both industry leading brands and online digital publishers. We were hearing the need, expressed by brands, to want to work with influencers who valued creativity and wanted to create content that would allow them to share about brands they loved, but in a way that would be relatable to their readership. From there, Pollinate Media was birthed.

Now, 2 years later, we were once again seeing a need in the industry and out of a desire to meet that need, we began, almost a year ago now, to develop this new concept. Wanting to keep the momentum of Pollinate and not erode the community it has become, we felt that what we were creating needed to be an extension of Pollinate.

So….

It is with great excitement that we’re (my husband and I) sharing some BIG, no HUGE news . News of a vision we’ve had for the last year that we’ve finally breathed life into. We couldn’t be more thrilled to announce the launch of a sister company to Pollinate Media. When we set out to create this extension of Pollinate, our goal was to tap into the Male blogger space, to create something new and wonderful to give them the opportunity to grow within the space. Did you know that 54% of married men shop for groceries and household supplies more than their spouses? Or that there is a Manfluence movement happening, where marketers and brands are targeting the rise of the male shopper? With statistics like that, we felt that there were voices out there that needed to be heard.

And so the idea to create WEAVE Made Media was born. Along the way, we realized that male voices weren’t the only ones that needed or deserved to be heard, there are up and coming female influencers within the space whose voices were also gaining strength. Rather than leaving them with no where to grow in the space while having the opportunity to work with amazing brands, WEAVE became more than just a space for men, but also for women. Do you remember when you had only been blogging a short time, but you had a voice and you wanted it to be heard? Like you, there are so many that feel the same and we want to give them a community, a home and a platform for them to work with brands to help humanize their story.

So it’s with great pleasure and more excitement that we could possibly contain that we bring to you…
